VOTE: Do You Feel Safe In Watsonville?

A rash of seemingly random gun-related violence has struck across the city.

Watsonville gets its share of crime: burglaries, stabbings, there was a groper attacking teenagers last year.

Statistics from the police department show that violence isn't increasing exponentially and that people in Watsonville are about as safe as they've been for years.

But sometimes violence in the news can make people feel uneasy. Four armed robberies of businesses in two weeks—including one where the shopkeeper was shot—were punctuated by a drive-by shooting at a Arthur Road house Wednesday night.
