Solano: 'Again, stay strong, stay safe and just believe.'
Watsonville Police Chief is taking a leave of absence to battle an aggressive form of blood cancer.
City officials announced Wednesday that former Chief Terry Medina will serve as interim chief.

Solano left his staff with this message:
"Sometimes we're dealt certain cards and you just got to accept it. I am a man of faith. I am a blessed man beyond measure... most importantly I'm so proud of the men and woman of the Watsonville Police Department and I can't wait for my return. Again, stay strong, stay safe and just believe."
