Watsonville Police Blotter: Meth and Beer Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday

12:45 a.m. Humberto Ortega, 31, was stopped for a vehicle code violation at Riverside Drive and Union Street. He was found to be in possession of 2.9 grams of methamphetamine.

10:24 p.m. Male suspect enters Quik Stop on the 2100 block of Freedom Boulevard and selected a can of beer from the cooler, walking out without paying. Witnesses said that the same man stole a case of beer from the store a week earlier.

9:14 p.m. WPD officers responded to call at 30 W Beach Street for a suspect refusing to leave. WPD officers contacted Johnny Hicks, who was later arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine.

7:59 p.m. Three juvenile boys were arrested for being in possession of an aerosal paint container at the 1300 block of Main Street.
