Looks like there are no safe places to be in Watsonville anymore, since Brewington and Arbol is one of the quieter and nicer corners in town. A former mayor once lived just a few doors up Arbol from there before moving to Corralitos, and I take my dogs regularly to exercise at Crestview Park, just a half block north. Very sad.

Stabbing on Main & Riverside now ANOTHER shooting. When is it going to be "enough is enough?"

@Steve - It seems little is being done to make any meaningful changes in our gang situation. This makes me think this is how the clique that has stolen control of Watsonville want it. Create such a hostile environment in Watsonville that the few non-Latinos and other people of means decide to leave for their lives. Then the clique that runs Watsonville can claim emperorship over their Mexicano state. Am I too much of a conspiracy theorist? Maybe not.

David why do you have to make this into a racial thing? Recently when anything tragic happens and is posted on here the first thing people do is blame Mexicans or some how start making it into something racial. I love watsonville patch but the comments I read on here from which are most from "adults" are so cruel and pathetic that the whole story is forgotten and turned into Internet racial fighting. In other words stay in the subject without the racial comments. Thank you.

Yes, it is shocking that the resent shooting in Watsonville was in a nice neighborhood. Unfortunately our neighbor rented out a room to a gang member. His lack of judgment brought this stain to our safe place.

I'd like to have more info about this. I'm thinking of "bundling" my telephone land line,Read More internet, and HGTV with Charter, BUT if they practice censorhsip, I might reconsider. Any more info would be appreciated...what websites are being blocked?
Butch Cole June 16, 2013 at 01:32 am
I'd like more information also..I have Charter now and can't remember getting notification that theyRead More are blocking sites.
Earl Pickles June 16, 2013 at 10:40 pm
Doubtful that notification would be given. Sites that are most troublesome for Charter are thoseRead More available for downloading copyrighted material. This is not to say that Charter is a bad ISP for it is a relative fast, moderately priced, reliable service in this area. I would suggest however that you do not lease the required equipment from them but purchase your own. If you are interested in finding out more about Charter and other ISPs blocking sites, information is available on the Internet.
