CIty Council Meeting Agenda Looks Light

Watsonville leaders will hear a report on the city recycling program, and that's about it.

The Watsonville City Council meeting Tuesday evening should be pretty quick.

First, the Central Coast Section champion Watsonville High boys' soccer team will be honored with proclamation from Mayor Eduardo Montesino.

The city council members will run through the consent agenda, including approving more than $60,000 in federal Homeland Security grant money for the police department to purchase narrow band mobile radio communications equipment.

Lastly, the council will hear a report on , a grant-funded partnership with Ecology Action, that started about two years ago in some at some of the 1,780 apartment units in Watsonville.

The city council meets at 6:30 p.m in the council chambers, the fourth floor of Watsonville Civic Plaza, 275 Main St.
