For the past several years, she has served as a Watsonville Planning Commissioner and has also served on the Watsonville Parks and Recreation Commission, the Santa Cruz County Democratic Central Committee, the Santa Cruz County Girls Task Force, the co-chair of the Pajaro Valley Cesar Chavez Democratic Club and the co-chair of the County Immigration Action Group.  She was also recently appointed as a statewide at-large delegate for President Barack Obama to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina this coming September.
