What To Expect at the School Board Meeting

Migrant education and next year's school calendar are on the agenda.

The to honor outstanding students, look at next year's school calendar and other housekeeping items.

For the first time in a long time, the meeting agenda doesn't include a look a the bleak budget outlook the school district is facing.

Instead, the board will consider a one-time-only addition to the Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program and get a report on the organizations participation in the Santa Cruz County School Board Association.

In the closed session, trustees will look at some positions in the district that need to be hired for or that will be laid off. The board will make a report when the private meeting is over.

The public session of the meeting starts at 7 p.m. with awards for outstanding students and educators. It's held at the district office, 292 Green Valley Rd.
