Alley Pavement Maintenance Project

Alleyway Pavement Project begins week of October 8, 2012.

The Alley Pavement Maintenance Project began Monday, October 8, 2012. You can download the PDF file to see the schedule of the alleyways scheduled for pavement during this week.

The Alley Pavement Maintenance Project will repair and, thus, extend the useful life of the existing pavement on the treated alleys. City staff periodically inspects and rates the condition of the City’s streets. The data is incorporated into a pavement management computer program that evaluates the most cost effective schedule and type of maintenance to be performed. This computer program aids the staff in developing and prioritizing the maintenance projects.

The total estimated cost for the project is $171,000. Funding for this project is from State Gas Tax Revenues. Gas Tax revenus are ussed exclusively for local road maintenance.
