Airport Boulevard Reconstruction Project

City Council approved at its May 28th Meeting plans and specifications and calling for bids for the Airport Boulevard Reconstruction Project. Bids will be opened at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, June 17, 2013.

What will this project do?
Airport Boulevard, constructed in the mid-1960’s, is one of the City’s busiest arterials. The pavement in the vicinity of Highway 1 is failing, and is in need of replacement. This project will remove and replace the failed pavement. The limit of work will be from the Highway 1 southbound off-ramps (at Ranport Rd) eastward on Airport Blvd to 900 feet east of the
overcrossing.

What is the estimated cost of this project and where will the funds come from?
The total estimated cost for the project is $700,000. Funding for this project is from State Gas Tax Revenues.
