No Beans About it, Santa Rosa Market has Best Burrito

Readers chose the East Lake Avenue eatery as their favorite.

A late entry to rolled away with enough postive comments and reviews to take the title of Best Burrito in Watsonville.

Santa Rosa Market garnered 16 thumbs-up comments from readers and .

The market netted 183 votes in the poll, besting runner-up 165 votes.

Patch editors ruled Santa Rosa Market the winner, even though a couple readers admitted to stuffing the burrito ballot box.

El Frijolito—the early leader in the contest—also got five positive comments and two reviews for a solid second place.

People said they love Santa Rosa Market's food, especially the salsa, and the market's low prices.

"They have the best quality burritos, along with other delicious foods on their menu," reader Alex Martinez wrote.

Elsa, another reader, wrote: "Santa Rosa Market BEST Burritos and Tortas in All of SC county!!! by far!!! Best Asada, Chile Verde and anything you try there!!! But dont just take my word for it... try it for yourself. This is REAL home-made Mexican food!"

El Frijolito, the runner-up, got kudos for its al pastor and carne asada.
