Ceiba Students Attempt Jumping Jacks Record

The charter school was a part of "Let's Jump," a worldwide challenge to break the record for the number of people doing jumping jacks.

In Watsonville the effort was spearheaded by teacher Jennifer Boroica. The challenge took aim at the record but also focused on promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Students warmed up with group dance moves—there was some "Electric Slide" action, then jumped for 60 seconds.

"Let's Jump!" events took place across the country Tuesday, including one jump-a-thon led by First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House.
