DEADLINE to submit entries for Spring and National Agriculture Day, Contests for Students

The Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau and the organization Agri-Culture are co-sponsoring a poster contest for grades K-6 and poetry contest for grades 7-12 in Santa Cruz County and Pajaro Valley schools.

The theme for both contests is "Grown in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley."

The winning entries will be displayed during the National Agriculture Day Spring Luncheon on March 16. Winners receive a $200 savings bond and are guests of honor at the luncheon.

To obtain flyers containing contest rules, please contact the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau at 724-1356, Agri-Culture at 722-6622 or they can be picked up at 141 Monte Vista Ave. in Watsonville. The deadline for entries for both contests is Feb. 24 (postmarks are OK).
