The Monterey Bay Rose Society Rose Care Demonstration will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10:00 am to 1:00pm at the Monterey Bay Rose Society’s Display Garden at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Take the HorseShow entrance just passed the Fair’s Main entrance of 2601 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville, CA 95076.
The Garden’s first round of blooms are spent and we will be conducting a hands-on event of deadheading, evaluating the plants and checking for diseases and pests. We will also discuss fertilizers and watering needs. Bring your gloves, by-pass pruners and hat and come join us in the garden. The Fairgrounds will be abuzz that day as the Ag History Project will be in full swing with ‘Day on the Farm’ and the Watsonville Road Angels Car Show. You can also purchase lunch at the Santa Cruz County Fair Heritage Foundation booth.
