Roman Announces He Will be Leaving PVUSD

The District's Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources is taking a position as vice-president at a community college in southern California.

Dr. Albert J. Roman, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at the Pajaro Valley Unified School District, announced on Thursday that he will be leaving the district.

Roman, who has been with PVUSD for five years, will be taking a new position as vice-president at a community college in southern California.

“I have truly enjoyed my time with Pajaro. In my tenure with the District, I have met many great employees who have unselfishly committed themselves to the students of this district,” Roman said in a statement. “Classified, certificated and management all contribute greatly to the educational experience of our students. Pajaro has a lot to offer and I was truly blessed to have been a part of this experience.

In his position with PVUSD, Roman was responsible for overseeing the human resources division and served as the chief negotiator and labor relations officer for the district. He also oversaw charter schools, adult education, extended learning and student services.

Roman’s last day will be June 15.
