Space Still Available in Cabrillo College's Summer Session

Classes begin Monday at the Watsonville Center.

New classes have been added at Cabrillo College's Watsonville Center, which historically has a robust summer schedule.

This year there will be 29 Summer Session classes, all of which have availability. A new class being offered for the first time is Art 4, Color and Design. The class is ideal for anyone interested in animation, cartooning, interior design, fashion design, architectural and landscape design. In it, students will learn about the Elements of Art and the historical and cultural context of design with instructor Margaret Rinkovsky.  Art 4, Color and Design runs from June 17 through July 25, from 12:30 – 5p.m.

Ms. Rinkovsky received her Master of Fine Arts degree from UCLA. She has taught studio arts and art history at several Bay Area schools, including Stanford, Cal State and UCSC. She is a recipient of the prestigious S.E.C.A. Award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and a nominee to the American Academy of Art in New York. Margaret Rinkovsky has exhibited nationally and has had numerous solo exhibitions, including, "Descent from Pacifica," at the SFMMA,  "Temporal Structure," at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and "The Odyssey Landscapes Reconsidered," at the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz.
