Speak Up: How Are PVUSD Students Doing?

State test scores indicate improvements in Watsonville-area schools. Are you optimistic?

The state API test scores, released Thursday, indicate students in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District are improving academically.

School district officials focused on a few positives, including that the PVUSD graduation rate is nearly 82 percent, about 4 percent higher than the state average, and that approximately 40 percent of schools have seen a growth in API scores in both math and English over the past five years.

Sounds pretty good.
