Bryan Stow Support Still Alive at AT&T Park

A year and a half hasn't been nearly enough to make San Francisco Giants forget what happened to one of their own on Opening Day 2011.

March 31 of last year was the day that Giants fan Bryan Stow, an EMT from Live Oak, was brutally beaten by Los Angeles Dodgers fans after the first game of the season. Stow still requires constant care, and it is believed that he always will.

Even with two full regular seasons having passed since the horrific incident, Giants fans are still paying tribute to Stow. At Saturday's Game 1 of the National League Division Series between the Giants and Cincinnati Reds, the man pictured here wore a Stow commemorative jersey in section 125.

At the Giants home opener this season, Stow's son Tyler threw out the ceremonial first pitch after Bryan himself appeared on the jumbo-tron and virtually handed his son the ball.

On Support4BryanStow.com, where his family provides updates on Stow's condition, a September post said that Stow recently helped pack his own lunch, and that he is waiting on a wheelchair that was manufactured just for him. 

Two men will stand trial for the beating. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Louie Sanchez, 30, and Marvin Norwood, 31, neighbors from Rialto, California, have been charged with the battery and, if convicted, face 11 and nine years in prison respectively.
