Cops Victorious In City League Softball
The WPD team beat the firefighters (again) and then won the championship game Monday.
Monday night when the Watsonville Police Department team beat the city firefighters 15-6 in the first game, then topped Los Diablos 18-12 in the championship game at .
WPD player Rudy Lopez Jr. said whole fire department was there to cheer on the firefighters in the first game. On-duty police officers stopped by to show their support.
In the championship game, Lopez said he hit a homer in the last inning that went past Main Street and has yet to be found.
