27th Mother's Day Run for Shelter

This annual 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk and 1K Fun Run for the whole family is the only run like it in south Santa Cruz County, and the biggest fundraising event in support of Pajaro Valley Shelter Services.  Moms get roses, medals for the top three men and women placers for each age group in the 10K and 5K events, refreshments, goodie bags and t-shirts.  Registration is only $25 per person (includes t-shirt), or $60 per family of four (limit 2 t-shirts).  For children under 12 who participate in the 1K Fun Run, registration is $5, or $10 including t-shirt.  T-shirts not guaranteed for registrations after 4/15/11.  To download registration forms go to http://www.pvshelter.org/news or call PV Shelter at (831) 728-5649.

The Shelter Services, a local nonproft organization, has provided an emergency shelter for homeless women and childre, transitional housing for homeless families and the support services necessary to help families overcome the barriers that led them into homelessness in the first place.  We are proud of our 85-90% success rate of families becoming stable again.
