Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Class

A grappling art made famous by the Gracie Family of Rio de Janiero, Brazil. It incorporates takedowns as are seen in competitive wrestling as well as submission holds that are more commonly seen in the arts of Judo and traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Students will learn to use their body weight, balance and leverage to overcome larger opponents and defend themselves. While traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners use a Gi for practice and competition, students of the PAL Jiu Jitsu program will train in shorts and tee shirts.
