Special events this summer will include a downtown Scavenger Hunt, a Star Gazing Party, lots of hands-on crafting programs, and Horror Movies (PG-13) every Thursday night. Beginning June 11, teens going into 6th through 12th grades can register to attend these free events at the Information Desks of the Watsonville Public Library Main Branch and at our Freedom Branch. We will be having a Launch Party at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12th in the Meeting Room of the Watsonville Public Library. We will be raffling off door prizes for each teen program over the summer, and teens can also earn raffle tickets towards our grand prize by reading, attending events, completing book reviews and our Reading Bingo Card.

The “Own the Night” teen summer library program is sponsored by the Watsonville Public Library, the Friends of the Watsonville Public Library, and the following donors: Tila Guerrero of Mas Mac; Kristy Vanmill  of Starbucks; Isabel’s Hair Studio; Cassidy’s Pizza; Target; Burger King; Subway; Creative Nails; and Second Street Café.
