Watsonville Junior Volunteer Program

This summer, The Watsonville Volunteer Center's Junior Volunteer Program will engage 20 youth in meaningful summer service internships at local non-profits. Participants will be placed, according to their skills and interests, to do invaluable work in support of diverse causes, including hunger and homelessness, child development, arts and empowerment, and animal care. Non-profit agencies are stepping up to provide rewarding placements and training for youth so they can develop their skills in safe, enriching environments this summer. During the six week program, youth will work at their non-profit placement for approximately 3-4 hours up to four days per week. Youth will also participate in job readiness and empowerment workshops and engage in service projects and exciting field trips. The mission of the program is to help youth recognize their passions, share their unique talents and realize their capacity for transforming their community through meaningful service work. Youth will have fun while amplifying their voice and impact in Watsonville!
