Little League Sign Ups Begin Across Santa Cruz County

Remember your proof of residency when signing your kid up for little league baseball.

Now is the time to make sure your kids are signed up for little league baseball across Santa Cruz County. Leagues will be in action in Watsonville, Aptos, Capitola-Soquel, Live Oak, Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley.

The leagues are specific to address, so make sure to sign your little ones up for the league in the city where you live. Leagues also require proof of residency, many of which are listed on the little league websites as well as below. See registration details below.

Registrations:

Watsonville Little League/Pajaro Valley Little League:
Jan. 15-16
5:30-8 p.m.
EA Hall Middle School 
Requirements: Three proofs of residency dated after Feb. 2012. Best forms of proof are driver's license, car insurance, car registration, student records and home insurance paperwork. 
Note: If new to league, bring your child's birth certificate 

Aptos Little League 
Register online at www.aptoslittleleague.org before Jan. 19.
Once you've registered you can upload proofs of residency to the website.
Eligible kids must be 4-12 years old.
A player evaluation will be held Jan. 26 and 27. For evaluation day details, click the link above. Players 7 and under do not need to attend evaluations. 

Capitola-Soquel Little League:
Register online at www.csllbaseball.com/league before Jan. 19. 
Once you've registered you can upload proofs of residency to the website.
Player evaluations will be held Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 at the little league fields next to Soquel High School and Anna Jean Cummings Park. 

Live Oak Little League:
Jan. 12
9 a.m.
Green Acres Elementary School
Bring proof of age, three proofs of residency, medical clearance form and the concussion clearance sheet. Paperwork available at lollbaseball.org.

Santa Cruz Little League:
Register online at www.santacruzlittleleague.org before Jan. 12.
Upload proofs of residency to that page as part of your registration.  
Player evaluations will be held Jan. 12 and Jan. 20 at Branciforte Middle School. Visit the link above for details on the evaluations.  

Scotts Valley Little League:
Register online at www.eteamz.com/scottsvalleyll before Jan. 12. 
Medical release forms must be filled out and turned in at player try-outs, which will be held Jan. 12 and Jan. 20 at Vine Hill Elementary School. Details of the tryouts can be found at the link above.
