The Aptos Beach Dogs Rugby Club won their first game of the season Saturday with a home win against the San Bruno Saints in Marina.
The Beach Dogs led at halftime from scores through team captain Luke Gove, and scrum-half Alex Doseff. Doseff who is also the teams kicker, was 1 for 3 during the match. The Beach Dogs finished out the first half with a lead of 12-0.
The Saints stepped up their offense in the second half and tied the game with 10 minutes remaining. Luckily for the Beach Dogs, Michael Richardson charged down a kick, and from the subsequent drive, managed to score with 5 minutes remaining.

The Beach Dogs (1-2) will travel south next weekend to play against Paso Robles Rugby Club.
