Watch the Watsonville Soccer During the Women's World Cup

The Aztecas youth soccer program, a gang-intervention effort, is part of an ESPN documentary.

HERoics, the documentary profiling Watsonville probation officer Gina Castañeda and the Aztecas youth soccer program, willwill air on ABC at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 2—in the middle of the Women’s World Cup. 

HERoics, a one-hour program, is a series of six short documentaries chronicling women’s courage, perseverance, breaking through barriers, failure and eventual redemption.

Aztecas is a gang intervention program Castañeda started three years ago.

Casteñeda is the only American among the six stories. The other documentaries profile women from England, Spain, the Republic of Congo, Australia and Brazil. Her film is called The Save and was directed by Amanda Micheli.
