Find Your Way to Fresh Fruits and Veggies

It's not quite an app, but the map of Central Coast farms now has an interactive version.

Want to pick your own berries? Grill some locally made sausage? The 38th Annual edition of the Country Crossroads Map is available and—for the first time—is also being offered online.

This free publication distributed through the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau lists farms on the Central Coast that sell directly to the public.

The map gives the location and descriptions of 54 direct-sell farms including 11 farmers' markets in the Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast area.

“The public has a unique opportunity to purchase over 100 different commodities directly from all of our direct-sell farms," said Nita Gizdich, a Watsonville farmer and Country Crossroads President. "It makes for a very enjoyable family outing.”

Download the interactive version at http://www.countrycrossroadsmap.com.  The map also can be obtained by sending a business size (#10) self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Santa Cruz Country Farm Bureau, 141 Monte Vista Avenue, Watsonville, CA 95076.  You may also pick up maps at their office.

For more information, or if you would like to have maps for your business, please contact the Farm Bureau at 724-1356.
