Stop the Violence! A Community Rally for Peace and Remembrance on 3/15

On Friday March 15, 2013 in the Watsonville Plaza.  We gathered in our City's plaza to remember those we have lost to violence in our community. Several community leaders, family members of those lost loved ones to violence and youth addressed those in attendance with their calls for peace. There was an open Mic/ Poetry/ Artist Space- Painting Wall. 

As the sun went down we ended with a candle light vigil and universal prayer.  Special guest included: City Council Member and Vice Mayor Karina Cervantes, State Assemblymen Luis Alejo City Council Member Felipe Hernandez, City Council Member Daniel Dodge, Rosa de Ramirez (mother), White Hawk Aztec Dancers, Ghambit, Cambio, Bocafloja, Dementes, DBD Musicc, DJ Mikey Mike Marquez, and others.
