Hotel Resetar

This one time jewel of Watsonville is now home to the poorest of the poor in Watsonville. It was once the premier hotel in the County of Santa Cruz. Now it is home to mentally ill, indigent, elderly, drug rehabers and anyone who is down on their luck. The conditions seem very poor. Has the city council member who represents the downtown ever taken a look inside or talked  to the residents? No. I think this district belongs to Felipe Hernandez. What experience does Mr Hernandez have that qualified him to represent this district that is so heavily in the heart of downtown Watsonville? I have never seen him walk these streets and talk to any business owners about what they need. Check it out, I have asked them if they have ever had any encounters with Mr Hernandez, and those that spoke English (and those were few and far between),
said they dont even know who their Representative is. The residents of Hotel Resetar need help Mr. Hernandez. Too bad you are too busy being best buds with State Representative Luis Alejo and helping him eat all those steak dinners on the tax payers dime, to help out those poor folks you keep putting in Watsonville's business corridors.
As we now have a new 94 bed homeless shelter going into another part of Watsonville's business district. we now get to see how these folks too will be neglected just so you can keep Watsonville full of those who don't vote. Keeping it full of a transient population seems to be working just fine for Watsonville city council.
If you dont like the way Watsonville downtown looks, put your name on the upcoming election ballot. See what changes can be made by caring for your city. Truly caring.
