Triple M Ranch, also known as the Farm Training and Research Center, is owned and operated by the Agriculture and…More Land-Based Training Association (ALBA). This 195-acre ranch is primarily left undeveloped and is home to various research study projects by students and faculty at California State University, Monterey Bay. Studies have included those on agricultural runoff, sediment retention and deposit and more. It is part of the environmentally-sensitive Elkhorn Slough watershed.
Due to a natural lands easement, only about 60 acres are used for farming. These acres are leased to small farmers for training on ecologically-sound, sustainable and organic farming practices.
