Ezra Koch, Neighbor

Ezra Koch is a freelance writer who grew up on the coast of Maine on a little island called Deer Isle and has been immersed in art all his life. His mother was an art teacher and his father worked at the local arts retreat Haystack Mt. School of Crafts and painted professionally. Ezra, however, always felt more comfortable with words than images, and began writing stories and poems at a young age. He attended college in Portland, Maine, and earned a bachelor's in English in creative writing and a minor in sociology and jazz guitar. Ezra moved to the Santa Cruz area two years ago. He loves the incredible landscape, community and culture, and is grateful to be able to do work that allows him to get to know the talented people living here.
