Shawn Hatjes, Neighbor

I grew up in Santa Cruz, CA entering the realm of Digital Media in high school with my passion for photography. As my talents began to evolve I taught myself the ins and outs of Social Media, Web Design and Graphic Design.

I attended the University of Oregon of 2 years, furthering my education in the field of photojournalism. During my time at Oregon I worked as a Staff Photographer for the Oregon Daily Emerald. I returned to Santa Cruz in 2010 moving forward with my photography and teaching myself graphic design.

I jumped into the nonprofit world near the end of 2010, working with Grind Out Hunger. I am now the Marketing Director for Grind Out Hunger and still do photography and graphic design work on the side. My main focus is to use the combination of my talents to take Grind Out Hunger national.
